Stanley Chapman Hills

BAXTER CHAPEL-Stanley Chapman Hills, born on December 15, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at the Waters of Gainesboro on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the age of 78. He lived a well-fulfilled life, marked by his deep love for his family.

A proud graduate with an Associate's Degree from Wentworth Institute in Boston, Stanley's career was marked by decades in the construction industry, where he was recognized for his skill and commitment to quality. He possessed a unique passion for building not just homes, but also boats, showcasing his creative flair and dedication to craftsmanship. Throughout his life, Stanley often found joy along the shores of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, a place that held special memories from his youth and later years. He had a deep appreciation for the ocean, which reflected his adventurous spirit and love for nature.

In 2020, Stanley and his family moved to Silver Point, Tennessee. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints-Cookeville First Ward. His faith played an integral role in his life, guiding him through challenges and celebrating his many milestones.

Stanley is survived by his beloved wife, Iris Coleman Hills of Silver Point, and his cherished children: daughter Allison (Adam) Jernigan of Silver Point, son Benjamin (Jessica) Hills of Edgefield, South Carolina. He also leaves behind a legacy of love through his brother, Richard (Karma) Hills of Washington State, as well as his adoring grandchildren: Quinn, Alexander and Sawyer Hills, Ezra, Avery, Ivan, Emma and Elijah Jernigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Gilbert and Elinor Packard Hills, and two brothers, Frederick and Lawrence Hills. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a graveside service and interment to be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Smellage Memory Gardens in Silver Point, at 12:00 Noon. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, everyone will meet at the cemetery.

Stanley Chapman Hills will be fondly remembered for his love of family, his contributions to the community, and his unwavering spirit. He touched many lives and leaves a lasting imprint in the hearts of those he loved.
