Krystal I remember when I first met you in our 8th grade Science Class at Eastwood Middle School. You and our other friend Crystal Cortez were the first two people to talk to me and become my friends. Being that my family got stationed at Ft. Bliss El Paso, TX it was very comforting to know you made my new surroundings so much easier and so welcoming with your lovely smile, I will never forget that. Since then we´ve been friends all they way through Eastwood High School dancing for Faith and our African Dance Group, all the way through college and into adulthood. I had some amazing memories with you and plenty of fun times we all captured with the camera. I miss those days of all of us having sleepovers at each other´s houses, going to the power jam concerts, hanging out at the mall, going to the movies, going to homecoming games and dances, being on the homecoming decorating committee, performing at the pep rallies and my favorite black history month we would decorate a hallway with a theme and would win those black history knowledge bowls plus performed at some amazing events throughout El Paso, TX. Are little crew became a family we were all like sisters. You are truly loved and gonna be missed tremendously. Your Light is Radiant, Your Smile is Radiant, Your Heart is Radiant and I know you are Shining Bright in Heaven. Rest in Paradise Beautiful.

Krystal was a little sister to me. We the FAITH girls were a family always together whether through dance, hanging out during & after school or while supporting each other at events. It deeply saddens me that she is no longer with us. But we all know she lived life doing what she loved & has accomplished so much. She has touch so many of our hearts that has left an everlasting imprint. Krystal you will always be loved & remembered. Rest in paradise beautiful.

I didn't know Krystal. I was moved by a headline, read the article, then her obituary. What an extraordinary woman she was! I'm deeply saddened that she lost her daughter and her life, and I offer my deepest condolences to Clayton and the entire family. May God hold you in the palm of His mighty hand and grant you peace.

We were station at Ft Bliss in El Paso, TX. My daughter was trying out for cheerleader team Krystal gave her encouragement to not give up. When found out the Krystal and daughter had passed. No words can describe the feelings. One word can describe her personality and that is LOVE. Thank the Lord for people in the world like Krystal. Jesus bring peace in the midst of the storm for her family and friends. Just take one step at a time to process and know that God is there and he bottle your tears that is how precious you are.Psalms 56:8-10.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
No I didn´t know this beautiful young woman. I read an article that inspired me to find her obituary. The two words to describe her that I find missing are Intelligent and courageous. . She made her way to Virginia, jumped on every opportunity to grow; was intellectually adventurous; married interracially. In 1971, as a brown African American woman, I too married interracially; 40 years together until I lost him to cancer. At 84 years old, It´s obviously clear to me that Krystal was a wonderful young woman. Her life is inspiring.

I first met Krystal when she first came to KC. She came into a doctor's office I worked at and had her cheerleader physical. She told me she was new here and didn't really know anyone and her mom was worried about her being alone. I wrote down my number and told her if she needed anything she could call me. She didn't call but ironically she ended up being close friends with my niece and we reunited. She lightened every room with her sparkling self.
Much love and peace to you Krystal.
Peace, love and faith to the family of Krystal. Kim S.

A special memory I will forever remember is Christmas time 2023 when Krystal and I were doting over our sons in front of the Christmas tree, being the moms we are snapping photos, as our husbands watched us.
