Kurt Emil Ehland

Kurt Emil Ehland, 53, of Collegeville, beloved husband of Teresa Anne Brogan, passed away Monday February 24, 2025 at the Pottstown Hospital.
Born and raised in Phoenixville, he was the son of the Willi and Elizabeth A. (Rohde) Ehland. Kurt graduated from The Woodlynne School and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. He later earned his Master's degree from the University of Phoenix. Throughout his career, he earned multiple IT system certifications, showcasing his dedication and expertise in the field.
For over twenty years, Kurt served as the IT Manager at The Hill School. Prior to this role, he worked as an IT consultant for Forte Systems and Vis.align Systems. Kurt's professional achievements were a testament to his hard work, knowledge, and passion for technology. In addition to his work in IT, Kurt was also proud to have contributed to the world of video games, with having a game, Vanquish, published in Run magazine at young age.
Outside of work, Kurt was an adventurous spirit. He loved visiting amusement parks and riding premier rollercoasters, and he found joy in activities like golfing, clay shooting, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and camping. A lover of 80s music, Kurt was also a devoted Philadelphia sports fan, with a particular fondness for soccer. He attended numerous Philadelphia Union matches and events, where his love for the game and community shone brightly.
An avid traveler, Kurt explored the world, with memorable trips to Bolivia, Peru, England, France, Scotland, Ireland, Mexico, Greece, Hawaii, and Alaska. At home, he was a talented cook and a true handyman, always willing to lend a helping hand with any project.
Kurt is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; his daughter, Leah Bryn Ehland; his sister, Erika Benowitz (Andrew); nieces Lauren and Sasha; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday March 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 595 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
