Kurt Hilde

Kurt Matthew Hilde, a beloved resident of Walnut Creek, California, passed away on January 10, 2025 at the age of 58. Throughout his life Kurt was known for his generous spirit, infectious sense of humor and gregarious personality that touched the lives of many.
He attended San Ramon Valley High where he exceled in swimming, diving and tennis. A
graduate of Sacramento State University in 1991 he received his a degree in Business. A dedicated project manager at ARB he was deeply valued by his colleagues who were much more than co-workers – they were an extended family to him. Kurt approached both his professional and personal life with enthusiasm and warmth. He enjoyed spending time flying with his father, eventually achieving his pilot's license. When not working he loved playing golf and enjoying the outdoors and the camaraderie of the game with his friends. He was an avid Bay Area Sports Fan.
He was a favorite uncle to the children of his closest friends, bringing laughter and love to their lives. Known for his generosity and jovial spirit he had a remarkable ability to make those around him feel special and valued.
Kurt is preceded in death by his father, Iver Hilde, and his brother Erik. He is survived as a beloved son to Janice Hilde and a cherished sibling to Sonia, Anna (Tony), Greta, and Iver.
A private family service will be held. He will be interred at Queen of Heaven cemetery in Lafayette, California. Kurt will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know his warm and vibrant spirit.
