Kurt Neumann Obituary

Kurt E. Neumann
Born: December 11, 1949 in Marinette, WI
Died: May 14, 2025 in Bush, LA
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kurt Ernest Neumann, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Kurt grew up in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, alongside his older brother, Steven Neumann, and his loving parents, Roland and Helen.
A man of quiet strength and deep devotion, Kurt proudly served as a Green Beret medic, standing apart in a family of Navy men. After his time in the service, fate led him to Chicago, where he met the love of his life, Candace "Candy" Joan Neumann. Together, they built their life in Crystal Lake, Illinois, raising their three children-Jason, Patrick, and Megan.
Kurt was a man of unwavering integrity and hard work, dedicating himself to his craft as a foreman specializing in concrete layout across Chicago. However, his greatest joy was his family. A steadfast presence on the sidelines, he rarely missed a baseball or football game, and his devotion extended beyond cheering-he eagerly coached each of his children's teams, ensuring they not only played the game but carried its lessons throughout life.
As the years passed, Kurt rekindled his love for motorcycles, this time riding alongside Candy instead of having her seated behind him. Their love of adventure grew, and once their children had established lives of their own, they took to the open road in their RV, traveling the country with their cherished dogs. Eventually, they settled in Bush, Louisiana, where Kurt fulfilled his long-held dream-working the land, riding his tractor, and building a home on a treasured piece of property he had acquired years before.
Kurt is survived by his loving wife, Candy, and their three children: Jason, his wife Katy and their daughters Madelyn and Hattie; Patrick, his wife Jessica and their children Mia and Ian; and Megan Masanz, along with her husband Joseph and their daughter Alexis.
He is also survived by his older brother, Steven Neumann, along with his wife Rose and their daughter Stephanie.
Kurt now joins those who went before him-his parents, Roland and Helen, and his nephew, Timothy-watching over the Neumann family with love and pride. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have called him family and friend.
