Kurt Alan Ott, 62, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family. He fought a valiant 2 year fight against cancer.

Kurt was born on August 3, 1961 in La Porte, IN to Robert and Judith (Koritz) Ott.

On September 3, 1988 in La Porte, IN, he married Jodi Fowler who survives. Also surviving are his 2 children, Nichole Ott of HI and Tyler (Chloe) Ott of La Porte; mother, Judith Ott of La Porte; 3 sisters, Kim (Mark) Giesler of La Porte, Kellie (Eric) Stulc of La Porte, and Linda (Dennis) Miller of La Porte; special cousin, Shawn (Bill) Frederickson of WI; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ott.

Kurt worked as a Financial Hearing Officer for the Dept. of Local Government Finances. He enjoyed landscaping and traveling. His love for bourbon led to an extensive bourbon collection. Kurt will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his family and his dearly loved wife, Jodi.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place at a later date.
