Mark Andrew Kniola, 52, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 3, 2025. He was born in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Bev and Ken Kniola on Nov. 30, 1972.
On Sept. 5, 1992, he married the love of his life, Kathy (Hock), who preceded him in death.
Mark was a dedicated electrician who spent his career working at Cleveland-Cliffs Steel in Burns Harbor, Indiana.
Mark loved the outdoors, especially target practice and fishing. Over the years he enjoyed his dogs and cats. He was tender hearted with a wicked sense of humor. He would never pass up a good bonfire with family and friends. He always looked forward to his monthly get together with Uncle Al Kniola in South Bend to play pool. He enjoyed lots of good times with his longtime friend Todd Childress.
Mark is survived by his brothers, Dwayne (Kim) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tim (Lauren) of Zionsville, Indiana, and David (Laura) of Bridgman, Michigan; as well as four nieces, Kassie (Will) Wisk of Channahon, Illinois, Alyssa (Ryan) Kniola of Westville, Indiana, Alyson Kniola of Henderson, Nevada, and Meilyn Kniola of Zionsville, Indiana; as well as four great-nephews and two great-nieces.
Mark will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

So sorry to hear this news. I just got reconnected with Kathy who was my first cousin on my father“s side. We had drifted apart when our family passed away and wanted to meet mark as well. So sorry I lost this chance. God bless and be at peace with Kathy now

I have many fond memories of Mark and his brothers as my family lived across the street from his family. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his brothers and their families during this difficult time.

Mark was always a great guy to be around. Was always in a good mood and cared about others. Never heard him say anything negative about anyone. My condolences to all those that knew him
