Rose H. Napierala, age 89, of La Porte passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026. She was born on April 2, 1936, in La Porte, Indiana, to Frank Joseph and Anna Marie (Satkoski) Napierala, who preceded her in death.
Rose enjoyed a long and dedicated career, retiring from Jaymar Ruby where she served as an executive secretary. She was previously employed by Interroyal and Kaiser Aluminum, and was a graduate of the College of Commerce.
A woman of deep faith and quiet service, Rose was a devoted member of Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church and the Rosary Society. Alongside her sister Mary, she volunteered faithfully for 17 years at the Sacred Heart Food Pantry, a ministry close to her heart.
Rose is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Mary A. Moryl of La Porte, Patricia Boyett of Pennsylvania and Joan Hahn of Oregon; as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, David Joseph Napierala, Theodore James Napierala and Catherine Dorothy Napierala White, in addition to her parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 6:45 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 201 Bach Street, La Porte, Indiana.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 a.m. prior to the Mass.
Memorial contributions in Rose's memory may be made to the Sacred Heart Food Pantry, 201 Bach Street, La Porte, Indiana 46350.
