Kyle Von Brizzee, 78, of Rexburg Idaho passed away March 11, 2026 after a long bout with cancer. Kyle was born May 14, 1947 to Francis and Eliza Brizzee in Rexburg Idaho. He was the youngest of 5 children and completed their wonderful family.
He was active in Track and Basketball in high school, forming his lifelong love for sports. He graduated from Madison High School in 1965.He joined the Army in 1966 to serve in Vietnam. He was an advanced missile and munitions specialist. He loved this time in his life. He traveled abroad and made lifelong friends. He worked many years in Chicago where he was a General construction foreman. He worked on the Teton Dam and later finished his career at the INL as a Civil inspector until he retired at 58 although his true passion was farming and excavating. He loved spending time helping others.
His time spent with the grandkids growing a garden every year was truly rewarding for him. He loved working with his hands and always having a project to work on.
He was blessed with a knowledge to learn things easily. He loved to rebuild cars. He rebuilt a 1964 corvette which was his pride and joy. Often joking he wanted to be buried in it. He purchased his first car from his brother Val for $10.00- a 1950 Studebacker. His guidance, humor and quiet strength will be deeply missed. He loved teaching his grandkids card games. We spent hours playing back alley bridge, starting a tradition he inspired with great love, banter and memories to last a lifetime.
He is survived by his loving children Babette (Blake) Arnold, Wendy (Mike) Underhill. Grandchildren Drew Arnold, Ashlee (TK) Kite, Carlie Arnold, Broc (Natalie) Underhill, Taylor Underhill, Avery Arnold and Beau Underhill. Great grandchild Livingston A. Kite. On the same day that Grandpa Kyle passed, the family welcomed the birth of his first great grandchild Livingston. While he did not have the chance to meet the newest member, his legacy lives on through the generations he loved so deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Roy, Lain and Val Brizzee.A celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date.
