Kyle Benjamin Davidson loved everyone and knew how deeply he was loved.
Kyle passed away peacefully, held by his family, on Sunday, September 8th, 2024. He was one month shy of his fifteenth birthday. The cause was heart failure due to complications from Cerebral Palsy.
Kyle was born on October 7th, 2009, at St Vincent's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. He was positive, empathetic, and will be remembered for his smile and profound kindness. Kyle loved being read to, watching his favorite cartoons like Curious George and Winnie The Pooh, and listening to beautiful music, especially when it was sung by his mom. He also enjoyed his stuffed animals, 'dance parties' with mom or nurses, and the colorful lights hanging on his wall. Kyle was drawn to everyone, connecting with and bringing joy to everyone he met.
Kyle was a fighter his whole life through severe Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, PAID syndrome, and Restrictive Lung Disease. He was a strong soul and gave strength to all who knew him. Kyle is at peace in heaven; walking, talking, kicking a soccer ball like his brothers did when they were young-free of any and all pain. Kyle's parents & brothers would like to thank his relatives, doctors, nurses, teachers, friends, and entire community who supported and prayed for him around the world and made his journey possible.
Kyle's favorite Bible verse was Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me; All the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Kyle's memorial service will be held and live streamed at 11 AM on October 5th, 2024, at Calvary Chapel Worship Center in Hillsboro, Oregon. He is survived by his loving family: parents Mike and Laura, and brothers Jacob and Nathan Davidson.
Kyle's extended family includes his grandmother Brenda Brumbaugh, grandparents Ernest + Nancy Pellegrino, his Aunt Diane Hartson, Uncle Brian+ aunt Aura, cousins Timothy, Ashley, Samuel, Krystal & Raul, Aunt Heather + uncle Chris and cousins Christina + CJ, uncle Greg + aunt Patti Brumbaugh, cousins Gregory, Matthew, Brittney, aunt Tami, and his cousins Kristin and Shawn.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please send donations to OHSU or Shriner's Children's Hospital in Kyle's memory.
A Zoom link for the service will be available the day before the service; attendees are encouraged to wear bright clothing in cheerful colors.
