Kyle Robert Doerr, a cherished husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on August 15, 1958, Kyle's life was marked by his passion for mechanics, his love for his family, and his unwavering kindness.
Kyle is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Anne Raphael Doerr, who was his partner in every sense of the word. Together, they shared a life filled with joy, companionship, and the mutual love for their pets, Sam and Trixie. He was the beloved son of the late Charles L. Doerr, Jr. and Betty Jean Millet Doerr. His memory will be treasured by his siblings, Charlene Galy (Louie), Charles L. "C.L." Doerr III (Diane), Bridget D. Durbin (late, Dale), and he was predeceased by his sister Deborah D. Russell. Kyle's spirit will live on through the many nieces and nephews who adored their fun-loving uncle.
Kyle's professional life was as varied as it was fulfilling. An ASE Certified Mechanic, he had a natural talent for understanding the intricacies of automobiles. His career transitioned into oil and gas industry, where he honed his skills repairing and rebuilding hydraulic pumps and governors. However, his true passion lay in the automotive world. Kyle found great satisfaction in working on customers' cars, and he took equal pleasure in maintaining and enhancing his own vehicles. His journey in mechanics culminated at Bayou Bicycles, Inc., where he combined his love for mechanics with his enthusiasm for cycling, building and repairing bicycles until his retirement. Outside of work, Kyle was an avid fisherman and cyclist. His attention to detail was evident in the meticulous care he gave to detailing his vehicles, a hobby that brought him immense joy.
Kyle's life was a testament to the power of dedication, whether it was to his craft, his loved ones, or his hobbies. His warm smile and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would like to give special thanks to St. Joseph's Hospice (Northshore) for their care of Kyle during his illness.
