Mark Edward Allen, 64, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Mark, our brother, son, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Metairie. He was known for his love of hunting, fishing, and most of all construction.

Mark attended Haynes High School and Crescent City Christian School. He started a lifetime career in construction at the age of 17. He was fortunate to study under the mentorship of Richard Owens of Owens Construction Company. He went on to become a Superintendent for Brackley Construction and Gibbs Construction. Beyond his work, he was passionate about hunting, fishing, and American made trucks. He loved old movies and true biographies. He cherished time with his family. He is survived by his mother, Priscilla Cummins, his sister Melinda Wilson (Steve), half sister Janet Thompson (Jason), and a host of nieces and a nephew. Mark's friendship, strength, and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew him and his memory will forever remain a guiding light.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Prayer Service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA 70001. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mark's memory to Bridge House at bridgehouse.org. Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed at www.tharpcares.com.
