Kyle Ellis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors - Hodgson Chapel on Feb. 23, 2026.
Kyle Jackson Ellis, 35, passed away on February 16, 2026. Born on May 30, 1990, Kyle lived boldly and wholeheartedly, filling his 35 years with laughter, adventure, and an unmistakable love for the people around him.

Kyle was preceded in death by his parents, George Ellis and Debra Ellis. He is survived by his devoted sisters, Whitney Roberts and Rachael Lutze - the only remaining members of their immediate family - who will forever cherish the bond they shared and the countless memories they created together.

Kyle worked as a welder at K Machine in Savannah, Georgia, where he took great pride in his craft. Working alongside his brother-in-law, Jason Roberts, Kyle was known for his strong work ethic, steady hands, and willingness to help anyone at any time. He had a natural gift for building and repairing, finding real satisfaction in working with his hands and creating something strong and lasting. His dedication and skill earned him the respect of his coworkers and friends alike.

Outside of work, Kyle embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved fishing and boating, happiest when he was out on the water with the sun on his face and the wind at his back. He enjoyed riding his OneWheel, always chasing the thrill of the ride and the freedom it brought him. Kyle had an adventurous spirit and a fearless heart.

He was undeniably the life of the party. Kyle's laughter was loud and contagious, his personality larger than life, and his presence impossible to ignore. He had a rare ability to bring people together and make everyone feel welcome. Wherever Kyle went, joy followed.

Kyle was an avid lover of dogs and children, and his gentle, playful spirit shone brightest when he was around them. He took immense pride and happiness in being an uncle. Some of his greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved nephew, Bridger Lutze, and his precious niece, River Roberts. Whether playing, laughing, or simply being together, those moments meant everything to him. The love he had for them was pure, deep, and unwavering.

Above all, Kyle treasured his family. Holidays, cookouts, simple evenings together - these were the moments he valued most. The bond he shared with his sisters was rooted in loyalty, resilience, and unconditional love. That bond will never be broken.

Though his life was far too short, Kyle lived fully and authentically. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, strength, kindness, and unforgettable memories. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered for his vibrant spirit, his generous heart, and the love he gave so freely.

A service to celebrate Kyle's life will be held at Compassion Christian Church (East Campus – 9150 Old Montgomery Rd., Savannah, GA 31406) on March 14th in the main chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a brief public wake with light refreshments. All who knew and loved Kyle are welcome to attend and honor his memory.
