Kyle J. Montigny

Woodstock, CT: Kyle J. Montigny, 38, passed away on Friday, April 11th, after a battle with a long illness.
Kyle leaves his mother, Judy F. (Aucoin) Montigny of Woodstock; his father, Keith L. Montigny of Spencer; his brother, Derek Montigny and his companion Mary Schwab of Eastford; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Leo and Josphine Aucoin, his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Marguerite Montigny, and his two uncles, Gordon Montigny and Ronnie Sullivan. Kyle was born in Southbridge on March 27, 1987.
Kyle lived a full and adventurous life, a shining star that brought love and light to all he met along the way. He was a great conversationist and enjoyed history the most, but his love for music and art was there too. He loved all kinds of animals, big and small. He traveled most of his life making friends and memories everywhere he went. Kyle would give his all and anything to anyone and everyone, always sharing what he had. He was a self-taught, very talented musician and played many instruments, but he made the guitar sing. He did many jobs and kept moving on to his next chance to learn something new. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Kyle is now at peace playing music for all and also for the angels.
Kyle's funeral service and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
A fund in Kyle's memory benefiting future musicians will be set up in the coming days. Information on the fund will be made available on this webpage when it is established.
The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
