Kyle was a unique person. He enjoyed being around family and friends but did not desire to be the center of attention. He just enjoyed being around people. He was soft hearted and kind and one of those "touchy" people, always having to put his hands on you when he was talking to you. He graduated from Mississippi State University in Turf Grass Management and went to work for Northwood Country Club. He was a dedicated employee for 20+ years and truly loved his job. Of course he loved to play golf..... he would play in local tournaments and leisure play in the afternoons after work. He was very competitive. He would always come up with some obscure "rule" if he was getting beat in a match, something like "lets play only a 7 iron on this hole" and if he beat you would deem himself the winner of the match. He also loved to fish. He enjoyed fishing with his boys and his buddies. The same competitive nature would take over in fishing just like in golf. If he caught the first couple of fish he would tell you, "that is 2 to zero if your counting" but once you caught up or passed him he would either get quiet or go to counting turtles. He would say, "turtles count too". As previously mentioned he was a "touch" person. You could not go anywhere with him as a passenger in a vehicle without him touching every knob or button on the dash. He would always say, "If you put me in a room with a red button that exploded the earth, we would all be doomed." He was good man, the "give you the shirt off of his back" type of good. He will be missed.
He is survived by his two sons, Kaden and Cohen Murray; his parents, Kenneth and Marcia Murray; his fiancee and her children, Stephanie Blackwell, Eli Boyd, and Chloe Davis; Aunt, Mable Melton; Sister in law, Mary Murray; Brother, Kip Murray; the mother of his children, Carissa Murray; by numerous cousins and nieces; and by his Northwood Country Club family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kirk Murray; and by his grandparents.
Pallbearers are Blake Chancelor, Billy McWilliams, Dustin Murray, Britt Pollock, Eli Boyd, Clay Casevechia, Jacob Mullinax, and John Tidwell.
Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Tew, Daryll Chancelor, and Jackie Moore.
