Kylee M. Myott, 34, of Humboldt, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Kylee was born January 12, 1989, in Humboldt, the daughter of David and Deanne (Kiley) Myers. She was raised and educated in Humboldt, graduating from Humboldt High School in 2007. She went on to further her education at Iowa Central Community College then obtained her bachelor’s in early elementary education from Buena Vista College, Storm Lake. On June 23, 2012, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Myott in Humboldt. The couple made their home in Des Moines for a time and returned to Humboldt in 2016. Kylee began her work as a pre-school teacher in 2017 for the Childcare Discovery Center in Fort Dodge and was employed with them until November of this year. Being a teacher to young children brought excitement and happiness for Kylee that words cannot aptly describe. Her passion of educating and volunteering extended to serving with Relay for Life and running the Junior Miss Contest at the Humboldt County Fair. Kylee's greatest love and joy was being a mom and watching Hadley grow. She especially loved spending every summer with Hadley at amusement parks, the pool, library, and local parks. She enjoyed country music concerts, bowling, and golfing. A special and heartfelt thank you to the Humboldt Community, her Discovery family, and “Kylee’s Krew” for your love and support throughout her illness.
Kylee is survived by her husband Bob of Humboldt and their daughter Hadley, her mother Deanne Myers of Humboldt, her brother Shannon (Megan) Myers of Fort Dodge, her grandmother’s Marilyn Myers of Pocahontas and Karon Rowe of Harcourt, her aunt Lisa Kiley of Humboldt and her father and mother-in-law, Curt (Sherry) Myott of Dakota City. She was preceded in death by her father David Myers and her grandparents Tuffy and Shirley Kiley and Jim Myers.
