Kyleigh Renay Shotton, 26, and Parker Grace Shotton, 3, were both tragically taken from us, Saturday, June 14, 2025.
Kyleigh, was born January 20, 1999, in Wheeling, WV a daughter of Randy Minch and Megan Brogan. She was baptized at St. Marks Lutheran Church. Kyleigh was a spirited individual whose zest for life was evident in all that she did. She had a deep passion for crafts, always finding joy in creating something beautiful with her own hands. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel the country with the love of her life, Jeremy, always open to a new experience.
Kyleigh's love for the outdoors began at a young age when she asked her father to take her hunting, which turned into a yearly tradition for the two. She was a member of 4H and relished in the commentary and competition of the West Alexander Fair. Kyleigh was incredibly passionate about cattle agriculture and won West Virginia Dairy Maid two years in a row. Whether she was exploring new places or embarking on outdoor adventures, Kyleigh's love for life was unmistakable.
She was a proud daughter, sister, wife and mother, the love she had for her family was unparalleled, especially for her children, Parker and Luke. Kyleigh and Parker shared a great joy for horses. Kyleigh worked at the Oglebay Stables with the horses and began taking Parker there for pony rides every chance she got, instilling in her a love they both shared. Parker and Kyleigh shared a great love for music, bringing them both joy and happiness. They also loved spending time on the family farm together.
Parker, born June 2, 2022, was a vibrant young girl, whose family would often say "she is the smartest 3 year old" they know. She loved all kinds of animals, but she mostly loved her two dogs, even if they would knock her down a time or two. And spent so much of her time with her little brother, Luke, teaching him everything she knew.
Kyleigh and Parker were easy to love and they touched the lives of those around them with their warmth, kindness, and indomitable spirit.
Kyleigh is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Howard and Beverly Minch and a step-brother, Cameron Clark.
Kyleigh is survived by her loving husband, Jeremy Shotton; her beloved son, Luke Shotton; her father Randy (Bobbie Jo Meneely) Minch and their children, Kaden Minch, Karly Minch and Dalton Walnoha; her mother, Megan (Matt Clark) Brogan and their children, Mason Cottrell, Avrey Cottrell, Bryer Knuth, Dentin Clark and Mason Clark; maternal grandparents, Grover and Stephanie Brogan and an extremely close extended family full of aunts, uncles and numerous cousins, including Leah Thieman and Jessie Brady who were her best friends.
In addition to those above, Parker is survived by her paternal grandparents, Deana (Dennis) Carstensen and Brian Shotton; uncles and aunts, Zach (Anna) Shotton, Timothy Shotton, Braylee Carstensen and Lorian Craddock; cousins, Dawson and Dylan Brady and Jack Thieman and great-grandparents, Grover and Stephanie Brogan, Pam (Dale) Lockwood, Steven (Judy) Shotton and Betty Luessenhop.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, June 24, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and again Wednesday, June 25, from 10 am until time of services at 12 pm, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St.
