Troy - L. Charles Breiner, 78, died Friday, September 9, 2022, at his residence after a year long illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was son of the late Harry Breiner and Jeanette Heintz Breiner and husband for 55 years of Nicolina (Nicky) Fontana Breiner. He had resided in Brooklyn NY and earned his Bachelor's degree from Wagner College in Staten Island. He moved to Troy NY and received his Master's degree from the State University of New York at Albany.
Charles was employed as a Marketing representative for Mobil Oil, was the Director of Personnel at Samaritan Hospital and then Pittsfield Hospital. Later, he was an Arbitrator at New York State, until his retirement in 2007. He was currently a Negotiator, Representative and Coordinator for all Grievance and Legal Defense Cases at OMCE (the Organization of NYS Management /Confidential Employees).
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Charles (Colleen) Breiner, David (Jennifer) Breiner and Gregory Breiner; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Lucie), Courtney, Nicholas, Alex, Michael, Julia and Dante and a brother-in-law, Marco Fontana.
Funeral services will be private at the request of the family.
