L. Hardesty Walker Obituary
Jane was a graduate of Marietta High School and Dental Hygienist School in Columbus. She retired from Jobs & Family Services after 30 years. She was the first woman to serve on Marietta City Council. She was an avid reader and wonderful writer and she had an infectious laugh and never had a bad word about anyone. She loved her family, especially grandchildren and was a dog lover.
She married William Walker who preceded her in death 2013. Surviving are her children, Michael Chase (Kelli) Chovan and Zachary Chovan; grandchildren: Isabella Grace and Jacob Matthew Chovan. Also surviving are her siblings: Sarah Hardesty of Holden Beach, NC, Sue Hardesty Fulford of Holden Beach, James Hardesty of Port Charlotte, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and brother George Joseph Hardesty.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Sept. 10) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mid-Ohio Valley Humane Society.
