L. D. Morgan, 92, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.
L.D was born July 8, 1932 in Stanly county to the late Tice T. Morgan and the late Clara Lucille Furr.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Peggy Carpenter Morgan; brothers, J. W. Morgan and Lee Ollen Morgan; sisters, Peggy Jean Bright and Dorothy Morgan; son, Bobby Wayne Morgan; and grandson, Troy Franklin Burris.
The funeral service will be on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at Indian Hill Presbyterian Church in Stanfield, officiated by Joe McLester. Burial will follow at the Indian Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 8349 NC Hwy 200, Stanfield.
Survivors include daughter, Sandra Burris of Stanfield; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Ann Morgan of Albemarle; grandsons, Marcus Burris of Stanfield, Joshua Burris of Stanfield, and Jody (Robin) Morgan of Stanfield; great-grandchildren, Trey Burris, Logan and Lucas Morgan; and great-great-grandchild, Cairo Burris.
Memorials may be made to Indian Hill Presbyterian Church at 8349 NC Hwy 200 Stanfield, NC 28163.
