L. Marie Schulz, 90, of Bensalem, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 25, 2026. Born in Cherry Tree, PA, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Laura (Ebbs) McIlwain. Marie was the loving and faithful wife of Ronald A. Schulz, who preceded her in death in 2020.
A devout Christian, Marie was a past member of Grace Independent Baptist Church, Penndel, PA and Bensalem Baptist Church, Bensalem, PA until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Marie was a dedicated homemaker, she cared deeply for her children and grandchildren. When it came to baking, nobody could surpass Marie’s baking skills. For 5 years in a row, she took first place for her apple pies at the Kutztown Apple Festival. Marie emphatically declared that the secret to her success as a baker was Robin Hood Flour; she would drive hours from home to buy it.
Marie is survived by her son, Steven Shulz; grandchildren: Deborah Kenderdine, of Newtown, Joshua Kenderdine, husband of Abby, of Leola, Jesse Schulz, husband of Emily, of Croydon, and Caleb Kenderdine, husband of Danielle, of Ephrata; and son-in-law, John Kenderdine, husband of Sherry, of Leola. In addition to her husband, Ronald, she was preceded in death in 2002 by her daughter, Barbara E. Kenderdine.
Marie will be laid to rest with her husband, Ron, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940, Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11AM. Memorial Services for Marie will be held at a later date, details to be provided.
