Lacy Chanel Moore

Indianapolis - Lacy Chanel Moore, 38, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023. She was born September 21, 1984 in Indianapolis to Sherrie Benedict Fulford and Barry Moore. She graduated from Mooresville High School in 2003. She served her family as a homemaker.
Lacy's hobbies included fishing and singing karaoke. She loved her family, her children, her friends and her Pit Bull, Fred. Additionally, she enjoyed rummaging through thrift stores and collecting vintage t-shirts.
Lacy's family described her as someone who never met a stranger. She had a bubbly and vivacious personality. She made everyone around her feel as if they were her best friend.
Lacy was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Athleta Moore and Nevada Benedict and her uncle, Bill Grimes. She is survived by her mother, Sherrie Benedict Fulford; father, Barry Moore and his wife, her step-mother, Diane; children: Steelee Lynn, Dalton Smith, Jace Smith, Stevie Burton and Jackie Burton; siblings: Stacy (Brian St. Clair) Benedict, Brad (Amanda) Norman and Kylie (Eric) Neidig; grandfather, Gene Benedict; special nephew, Shelby Benedict; special aunt and uncle, Sheila and Travis Moore; special aunt, Reno Grimes; long-time companion, Mike Burton; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
Lacy's family will receive friends Friday, January 20, 2022, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home with her uncle, Brother Jerry Moore, officiating.
