New Iberia – Funeral services will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at
Pellerin Funeral Home for Lady Keohavong, 96, who passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at her
home.
Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, and will continue on
Saturday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am.
Lady Keohavong was born in Savannakhet, Laos on January 1, 1927, and migrated to the U.S. in 1992. She
had a strong faith, and loved Jesus, praying for her family, and singing worship music. She had a knack for
crocheting, and loved gardening and traveling, but what she cherished most was her family.
Mrs. Keohavong is survived by six children, Lamphone Thepsourivong, Khamphet Keohavong, Khamsing
Keohavong, Khounmy Inthavongsy, Detvixay Keohavong, and Ounhuen Keohavong; three siblings,
Mahtah, Piselah, and Peter; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Suedeon Keohavong; parents, Keo and Bounthan Keohavong;
five children, Soudong Keohavong, Khamphong Keohavong, Khamphouvieng Keohavong, Phouthone
Keohavong, and Vongsang Keohavong; and six siblings, Melake, Dumaly, Ayle, Delah, Joshua, and John.
