LaGrada Allen McFelia, 92, of Linwood, KY passed away at Signature Healthcare of Hart County on May 2, 2025. She was a member of Knoxes Creek Baptist Church where she loved decorating for all the events and seasons. She was a also an active member of the Order of The Eastern Star, the Salvation Army, and Linwood Fire Department.
She was the daughter of the late Willis Allen and the late Gertrude Light Allen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin McFelia; her brother, Johnny Allen; and her stepdaughter, Karen Jarvis.
She is survived by her three children, Jimmie Dotson (Sharon) of Fountain, FL, Shanon Blakey (Eric) of Linwood, KY, and Renee Brooks (Roger) of Barbourville, KY; two stepchildren, Sandy McFelia Bayens of Louisville, KY and Ruth McFelia Lewis of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Isaac Brooks (Madelynne) of Richmond, KY, Emily Brooks of Richmond, KY, Audrey Hicks (Shanon) of Cape Coral, FL, Perry Jarvis of Louisville, KY, Leah Bayens (Bruce Bryant) of Port Royal, KY, and Aimee Gass (Matt) of Louisville, KY; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dianne Baysinger (Ernie) of Terre Haute, IN.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM CST on Monday, May 5, 2025 with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Templeman officiating. Burial will follow at Knoxes Creek Cemetery.
