Lajoyce M. Leitz

Lajoyce M. Leitz, 78, of Panama City, Florida peacefully passed away in her home on October 22nd 2025.
She was born on April 8, 1947 in Oak Grove, Louisiana to Albert and Lucille Mercer. She was raised in Bastrop, Louisiana with her two brothers Gerald and Harry Mercer.
Lajoyce graduated in the class of 1965.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Albert and Lucille Mercer, and her brother Gerald Mercer.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years Norman F. Leitz Jr. of Panama City, Florida, her brother Harry Mercer of Bastrop, Louisiana, and many dear in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many spiritual Brothers and Sisters with whom she shared countless cherished memories.
Two of the most important decisions in LaJoyce's life were when she dedicated herself to serving Jehovah by being baptized on July 9, 1962, and then at the age of 18 1/2 marrying the love of her life, Norman Leitz on January 15, 1966.
From there, she along with her husband, spent many years in the printing industry and later found success in the office supply and furniture business.
One of LaJoyce's greatest joys came from using her knowledge and skills to assist Watchtower Headquarters and Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses on projects throughout the United States Branch territory for the past 30 years.
Lajoyce will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith. A woman whose love and example will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held in LaJoyce's memory on November 1, 2025 at 8120 East Highway 22 Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Panama City, Florida at 1pm CST. Joshua Griffin officiating.
