Lake Hulings, age 83, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 06, 2023, in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed. Lake moved from Pennsylvania to the El Paso area via his service in the Army, where he met his beloved wife, Lupe, at White Sands Missile Range. After working for various companies, he became the owner of Southwestern Pest Control for over 30 years and was a long-time member of the Greater El Paso Pest Control Association. He happily volunteered his time for many years as a coach and referee to the AYSO soccer league. He was a beloved long-time member of the Country Club Optimist and also helped with the Junior Optimist Club. One of his favorite pastimes was watching movies with those he loved.
Lake is preceded in death by his dearest parents, Richard Glenn Hulings and Katherine Lander; his loving wife, Guadalupe “Lupe” Hulings; and his sister, Diane Jamison.
He is survived by his dearest sons: Robert Glen, Ramon Lake (Valerie), Richard Joseph (Brenda), and Ron Andrew Hulings; his grandchildren, Kimberley Elodia Guillen (Marco), Briana Guadalupe Guillen, Michaela Marie Hernandez, Deseree Alexis Guillen, Ian Ray Hulings, Evan Daniel Hulings, Abram Shae Hulings, Hazeley Hope Hulings, Emilio Cash Hulings and Jayleh Selene Hulings; and his wonderful great-grandchild, Koah Lake Bernal. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery East. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Optimist International Foundation https://www.oifoundation.org/ or to the AYSO Soccer El Paso Region 272 https://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region272. Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
