Laketa Nicole Hobdy

Laketa Nicole Hobdy, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed into glory on Sunday, January 11, 2026.  She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Burks; loving aunt, Mary Hobdy; and uncle, James Otis Hobdy.  

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Sharon Hobdy; two sisters, Laticia Strozier (Corey) and Shameka Tomas (Mike), all of Troy, AL; brother, Marque Parnell of Mobile, AL; her grandmother, Bobbie Jean Crosswell; and grandfather, Eugene Burks of Troy.  She also leaves behind three aunts, Sandra Burks Farrior (Sonny), Shemika Burks, Patsy Reynolds; great aunt, Sweetie Mae Siler; uncles, James "Bro" Hobdy, Johnny Jones; great uncle, Edward "Buddy" Brown, all of Troy, AL; two cousins who are like brothers, Michael Hobdy, Cedric Hobdy; five nephews, Mykhail Lane, Tyrique Thomas, Tylen Thomas, of Troy, AL, Jayden Parnell and Jasiah Parnell of Mobile, AL.  She leaves behind three nieces, Kamari Strozier, Serenity Thomas, and Seriah Hobdy; along with a great niece, Kelani Lane, all of Troy, AL; as well as a host of friends, cousins, the Chilton County DHR family, and the Class of 2001.

A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1:00pm at Green Hills Funeral Home.
