Lamanuel Douglas Lindauer was a beloved son, brother, and friend. His smile radiated joy, and he found a great amount of pleasure in simple childhood fun. He and his siblings spent many hours running through the fields and woods at our home, making up games, and reading books that would make him belly laugh. He always had a listening ear for his younger brothers and sister, showing such patience and interest with their many stories. He also spent many hours with the family caring for the animals and land, particularly enjoying the antics of baby goats and piglets. That time together is a gift, providing many happy memories of shared conversation. Douglas's trials in his short life were many, and we are heartbroken we could not remove his struggles. But from an early age, he professed faith and hope in His Saviour, Jesus, believing in His power alone to forgive sins, walk with him through trials, and make ready a better place for him in Heaven than this broken world. We are grateful beyond words for his most recent church family, Covenant Presbyterian Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee where he was warmly loved.
Douglas is survived by his father Doug Lindauer and his wife Robin Lindauer and by his mother Anna Human and her husband Robert Human and by his many grieving siblings: Elise and Jay Griffith, Ben and Emily Lindauer, Emma Lindauer, John Lindauer, Joseph Lindauer, Mikalah Lindauer, Grace Lindauer, Caleb Lindauer, Ella Lindauer, Michael Lindauer, John Bunch, James King, Ashton Armbrister, and Cleigh Armbrister. He had many friends that were dear blessings to him.
Douglas will always be close in our hearts, and we remain thankful to the Lord that he was ours.
Graveside services will be Sunday, August 17, 2025, 2:00PM Lane Cemetery, Lancing, with Bro. Byron Snapp officiating.
