Charles Dennis Lindauer Sr., 81, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, in Bloomington, Indiana. Born on December 7, 1943, in Middletown Butler, Ohio, to the late Robert Stanley and Ada Maitland Lindauer, Charles lived a life of dedication, hard work, and love for his family.
For more than 55 years, Charles worked at the Ford Truck Plant, where he built a long and fulfilling career before retiring. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Charles was a loving provider who always put his family first.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Lindauer, and his three children: Robert Lindauer, Charles Lindauer, and Tammy Lee. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Ginger. Charles was blessed with many grandchildren—Jason, Christopher, Michael, Johnathan, Cooper, Nicholas, and Noelle—as well as cherished great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Christina Rose, Elijah, Emmalee, and Wyatt. His love extended beyond his immediate family, as he shared a close bond with many nieces and nephews.
Charles is now reunited in heaven with his parents, his sister Robin, and his grandson Bobby.
In his free time, Charles enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and hunting. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, as he was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. Known for his kindness, strong work ethic, and love for his family, Charles will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 11:30 until 1:00pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Funeral Service will take place at 1:00pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens East with placement of ashes to follow.
