Lamon Dale Stanfill, 70, passed away on December 19, 2025, in
Muskogee, OK. Lamon was born on February 14, 1955, to George Lamon "Buddy" Stanfill and Paula Jack "Jackie" Stanfill. From an early age, he learned the values that would guide his life: loyalty, responsibility, and perseverance-values he lived by every day. Lamon will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a man whose life was defined by service, hard work, and a deep love for his family.
He graduated from Braggs High School in 1973, and that same year, on May 5, 1973, Lamon began a remarkable career at Acme Engineering, where he became a welding shop supervisor. Lamon dedicated 45 years of his life to that company before retiring. His strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment earned him the respect of everyone who worked alongside him. To Lamon, work was more than a job-it was another way he provided for and cared for his family.
In addition to his civilian career, Lamon proudly served his country. He enlisted in the United States Army on December 20, 1972, and after more than 20 years of honorable service, he retired from the Army in 1993. His military service reflected his deep sense of duty, discipline, and love for his country.
On February 28, 1975, Lamon married the love of his life, Beverly Stanfill, in a ceremony held at her parents' home in
Muskogee, Oklahoma. Their marriage was built on love, faithfulness, and unwavering partnership. Together, they built a strong and loving family.
Lamon found his greatest joy in the simple things-hunting in the quiet of the woods, fishing in tournaments with his friends on Green Leaf Lake, and spending time surrounded by his family. Those moments brought him joy, and they are the memories his loved ones will cherish most. Whether he was casting a line, telling stories, or just enjoying time together, Lamon made everyone around him feel valued and loved.
Above all else, Lamon was a family man. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather whose strength, wisdom, and quiet presence will always be remembered.
Today, as we say "until we see you again," we also say "thank you"-thank you for his service, his dedication, and the love he gave so freely.
Lamon is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Jackie Stanfill, sister Lois Hubler, and mother-in-law Evelyn Stiles. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly, of Braggs, daughter Tiffany, and husband Clint Mackey of Tahlequah; his son Dustin Stanfill and wife Holly of Braggs; grandkids Jess, Madi, Ramie, Daxton, Cayden Mackey, Wrangler, and Tracker Stanfill; father-in-law Doyle Stiles; sister-in-law Angela and husband Kevin McCoy; sister-in-law Cyndi and husband Jim Franklin of California; nieces Samantha Hubler, Chelsea Rowan, and Courtney Perry; nephew Taylor McCoy; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
