Lana Deanetta (Hartwig) Compo, 82, of Carmel passed away February 29, 2024. She was born on February 6, 1942 in Waukegan, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank Hartwig and Lila (Ferguson) Hartwig . She married Milford Eli Compo on May 1st 1965 in Duluth, MN.
Lana was treasurer, vice president and PTO president for Carmel Clay schools, President and treasurer of the Carmel Garden Club, successful medical supply salesperson, amazing friend to many, wonderful neighbor to all.
She enjoyed her garden club and playing cards with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her whole family and holiday gathering.
Lana and Mil mostly loved spending time on their deck, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and garden they created together.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Milford Compo and her brother Andy Hartwig. She is survived by her two children Matthew Eli (Lisa) Compo and Amanda Jo (Troy) Judd; two grandchildren Scott Heffern II and Josie Judd; her bother Peter (Irene) Hartwig; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for both Mil and Lana will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan - Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive, Carmel, Indiana on May 1, 2024.
