Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Lana Lorencia Lewis, 37, who passed away on December 5, 2023, at Carpenter House.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Saturday. 

Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. 

She is survived by her children; Lathaniel Dugas and Landon Lewis; mother, Mary Lee B. Lewis; and her sibilings, Melissa Ann Lewis, Fabian Richard Lewis, Delondra Lena Lewis, Shawn Lewis, Sr., Irvin (Camella) Jean-Batiste, Herman Jean-Batiste and Carolyn Jean-Batiste.

She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Jean Batiste; sisters, Carol Jean-Batiste and Susan Jean-Batiste; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John and Lorencia Batiste, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Western and Louisiana Jean-Batiste; uncles, Harris Batiste, Andrew Batiste, Leroy Batiste, Edwin Jean-Batiste, Roosevelt Jean-Batiste and Harry Lee Jean-Batiste; aunt Mary Rose Dalcourt.

Pallbearers will be Isaiah Lewis, Xavier Lewis Courtlon Cyprien, Elijah Lewis, John Batiste and Karrell Charles. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Edwina Nicholas, Jessica Ledet, Heredia Dauphine, Celie Batiste, Josslyn Anthony and Ashley Smith. 
The family would like to thank the Staff of St. Joseph Hospice and The Carpenter House for their care and compasion.
