Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church honoring the life of Willie Mae "Mommie" Alexander, 91, who passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Saturday.
Burial will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Olivier (Diane) Alexander, Linda Alexander, Leroy (Jennella William) Alexander, Jr., Donald (Leslie) Alexander, Debra (Melvin) Adam, and Shirley (Kenny) Alexander Mouton; daughter-in-law, Wanda Alexander; 20 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Joyce Alexander and Earline Miller.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Alexander, Sr.; son, Ernest Alexander; parents, Bradley and Lena Batiste Abraham, Sr; grandchildren, Kesha Alexander, Chanel Celestine, Christopher Alexander and Travis Landry; and her siblings, Gerald Abraham, Roy Abraham, Bradley Abraham, Jr., Doris Palfrey, Elsie Soularie, and Zenobia Alexander.
Pallbearers will be Darius Adam, Herman Alexander, Damien Alexander, Jamar Edmond, Djuanas Alexander, and Sigmund Potier.
Honorary pallbearers will be Oliver Alexander, Melvin Adams, Leroy Alexander, Jr., Danny Monroe, Donald Alexander, Kenny Mouton, and Kyron Mouton.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Diane Alexander, Jessica Parker and Rockel Monroe.
