Lanetta June Rounsaville, 92, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on May 27, 1932 to Braden Francis Rodman and Stella Fay (McConnell) Rodman in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She married Willie (Bill) Rounsaville on September 23, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lanetta retired from Oklahoma Employee's Credit Union after 20 years of service.
Lanetta enjoyed camping, cooking and working in her yard and flower beds. Following retirement, she found pleasure and continued purpose in volunteering at both Deaconess Hospital and with Mobile Meals. She was well known for her daily two-mile walks that she continued for decades until the age of 91. Lanetta was a woman of unquestionable faith and one of her greatest joys in life was attending church and visiting with her church community. Above all she loved spending time with her family and especially cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lanetta was a devoted daughter, wife, parent, and grandparent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Wayne Rounsaville; and brother Donald Eugene Rodman.
She is survived by Bill, her spouse of 73 years; daughter, Anne Reggio and husband David; sister, Janis Ann Davis; grandchildren, Kelly Stephens, Kandy Phillips, Scott Cory, Carly Jones, Jill Chambless, and Garrett Rounsaville; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be Friday, July 5 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm with family present from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be held on July 6 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Bethany, 3800 N. Mueller, Bethany, Oklahoma with interment in Chapel Hill Funeral and Memorial Gardens.
