ARMBRUSTER, Larry Raymond - Age 83, of Naples, FL formerly of Garden City, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church 10AM and Mass at 11AM. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Larry was born July 8, 1940 in Detroit, the son of Raymond Freeman and Lila (McKenzie) Armbruster. He was a 1958 graduate of Garden City High School and he received an Bachelor's Degree in Economics, graduating with the highest honors from Eastern Michigan University. He was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi at Eastern Michigan University. He retired from Ryder Systems as Director of Vehicle Sales for over 25 years, previous as Regional Sales Manager at Ryder and worked at Ford Motor Company. Larry enjoyed the beach and listening to music, casino, parades of all kinds, from 4th of July to Christmas Parades. He also loved nature, flowers, riding bikes and he held a strong belief in God.
Surviving are: his children, Dan(Michelle Duke)Armbruster of Fenton, Natalie (Frank) Jentz of Brighton and Kim (Ed) Seguin of Brighton; grandchildren, Zach Seguin, Morgan (Mitchel) Bucholz, Angelina Melrose, Bryce Armbruster, Brock Armbruster and Brady Armbruster; former spouse Joyce Armbruster of Howell. Married July 4th, 1964 producing three children; sister-in-law, Nancy Armbruster of Livonia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gail Haller; brother, Gary Armbruster. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
