Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Robin; daughters, Rachel (Justin) Whitney and Stephanie Austin; grandchildren, Samantha, Jason and Kennedy; sisters, Susan Austin and Carole Fritz as well as many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Tammy Richard. Larry is also survived by his mother-in-law, Sue Moody and sisters-in-law, Kathryn Moody, Anna Haubnstricker and Angela (Paul) Glazier. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Rose; brother, Jerry Austin; sister, Bonnie (Milton) Schmitt; father-in-law, William Moody; brothers-in-law, Gary Haubnstricker and Harvey Wideman; a nephew, Aaron Brown and special friend, Bob Richard.
A memorial service is being planned for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Vassar, 7501 Frankenmuth Rd. Vassar, MI 48768. Pastor Tony Jacobs officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Following the service military honors will be presented under the auspices of the US Army. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make a memorial contribution please consider the Calvary Chapel Fellowship.

This picture was taken in August of 2022, when we came back from Wyoming to visit. Uncle Larry and Aunt Robin took us out to dinner and then we all went to check out the fire station with my girls. They took us for a cruise around Vassar in the old black low rider truck too . That was such a good day and one my family and I will always remember! Lexus and Avery absolutely loved hanging out with them
