Larry Richard Barber

Larry Richard Barber, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and true friend, was born on January 1, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia. He passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication and zest for life.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Barber and Doris Harris Barber, his siblings, Ronald Barber and Patricia Barber Boatwright.
From an early age, Larry developed a strong work ethic and pride in his profession. He began working at the family owned, Ansley Park Plumbing after proudly serving in the United States Coast Guard. Known for his exceptional skills as a Master Plumber, Larry was equally admired for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He brought warmth into every interaction and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Larry shared 14 exceptional years of marriage with his beloved wife, Barbara. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family and friends. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Kim Barber Sutton Adair (John) and Lorry Barber Jensen (Jason). His grandchildren-Judson Adair (Hannah), Drew Sutton (Chloe), Madeline Adair Adams (Robert), Zachary Jensen, and Lucas Jensen-and his great-grandson, Baker Jackson Adams were so precious to him. Larry took immense pride in his family's accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them. Also close to Larry were his sisters-in-law: Virginia Barber and Carolyn Mathews Peteet.
Outside of his work and family life, Larry loved to fish for any size catch. When he landed a huge Stingray that was the icing on the cake! He absolutely adored his dogs: Jackson, Henry, Boss and Zoey. They brought him constant companionship and happiness.
Larry's family invites friends and loved ones to gather in a celebration of his remarkable life. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am, followed by the service at 12:00 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. Following the service, Larry will be laid to rest at Peachtree Memorial Park.
Following the services, a reception will be held for family and friends at 2:00 pm, at the American Legion Post 251, 2760 Duluth Highway, Duluth GA 30096 (Upstairs Grand Hall)
