Larry Dale Barrick, aged 80, of Arlington, TX passed away July 11th, 2025 in Ft. worth, TX from health issues.
Larry was born in Canada in 1945 while his parents; C. Milton Barrick of Abernathy, TX and Comora (Hughes) Barrick of Merkel, TX were stationed there during the war.
Once WWII was over Larry and his parents returned to Texas. He was raised in DFW and spent most of his years in Arlington, TX. Larry was the oldest of the four children. He graduated from Arlington Highschool, and went on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with Honors. He stayed an active Alum with UTA for many years.
Nature and the great outdoors were where Larry enjoyed spending most of his time. He loved bicycling and riding Mo-Peds, camping, fishing and hiking. He loved to garden and always had some kind of plant he could tend to. He enjoyed good conversation, a good whiskey and the occasional cigar.
Larry is survived by his Daughter: Lydia (Barrick) Archer and Son in-Law: Robert Archer III, his two Grandsons: Robert and Wesley Archer, the love of his life and mother of his daughter: Christy Frazier Anderson & her children: Christopher Anderson and Holly Morhart, his brother Rex Barrick and his sister Rhew Ann (Barrick) Brummett, his Nieces Mariah and Katy, and his nephew Jarin and their families.
Larry was proceeded in death by his sister Linda Lu Barrick, both of his parents, and Christy's son Nathan Anderson.
Larry's Memorial Service is:
Saturday August 16th, 2025 at 2:00 pm
