Larry R. Baynes

Larry R. Baynes, 54, of Utica, NY, passed away at Wynn Hospital on March 14, 2024.
Larry was born on June 13, 1969, in Harlem, New York City, to the late Cecilia Taylor- Lewis and his biological father Larry Edward Baynes Jr. Larry was adopted by his father Michael Lewis after Michael married Larry's mother Cecilia. He received his GED from Touro College and went on to accomplish an associate degree in liberal arts from The University of Phoenix. Larry worked at the Utica DMV for quite some time before transitioning into working with students in the Utica School system as a teacher's aide.
Larry was an avid music lover, specifically HipHop or R&B. He was a big fan of Run DMC, Shirley Murdock, and many others. He also loved to cook, his specialties were soul food and pasta with riggie sauce.
Larry was beloved by his late Mother Cecilia Taylor-Lewis, Grandma Baynes, Aunts Debra Baynes & Annette Baynes, His step Dad Michael Lewis, His Brother Angel Lewis, His Nieces Ayla Lewis & Azariyah Lewis, His cousins Antoinette Bruten, Darrin Bruton, Beverly Riley, Kennith Bailey, Kevin Taylor, Chapelle Taylor, Marlon Taylor, Ronald Taylor, Gregory Taylor, Corey Taylor, Chris Taylor, Taurian Taylor, Veronica Taylor, Tony Taylor, Tiffany Taylor, & Tracy Taylor.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his Dialysis Team at Faxton St. Luke's Home Renal Dialysis, and Larry's Doctors.
The funeral will be held Monday, March 25, at 11:30 am at Friedel, Williams, and Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court St, Utica. Calling hour will be from 10:30 am to 11:30 am prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
