John Lancaster Obituary

John was born on May 31, 1946, in Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, to the late Booker Thomas Lancaster and Carrie Lee Bell. He was educated in the Rocky Mountain school system, which led him to his career in construction as a demolition specialist.
If you know John, you knew he loved his family first! He loved his westerns, professional wrestling, and he loved him some Caesar from the newer Planet of the Ape's movies. To know John was to love John. He loved to travel to see his family in North Carolina whenever the chance presented itself.
John was the proud father of nine children, Me'Lisa, Cicely, Jamella, Jamel, Tamekia, Devon, Karima, Devin, and Gloria. He leaves behind many loved ones including ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; his siblings Ernestine, Doris, and Moses; several nieces and nephews; numerous friends; and his beloved Aunt Sally Dickens.
John was predeceased by his siblings Lee, Addie, Vannie, Lillie, and Faye; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
We thank everyone for coming together to celebrate the life of this great man.
A Funeral Service will be held privately. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services 1123, Court Street, Utica.
