Larry Alan Bell age 74, of St. Charles, MI passed away peacefully at his lake home on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
He was born in Saginaw, MI on October 12, 1947 to Clarence and Charlotte Bell. He graduated from Hemlock High School. He married Bonnie Bell on August 28th, 1981.
Larry retried from Eaton Corporation after 42 years of service as a machine repairman. He also co-owned and managed Bell's Evergreen Tavern in Hemlock, MI for over 20 years. Larry was a hard worker and jack of all trades. He could fix or build anything. If you were lucky enough to visit the family cottage in Pinconning, MI, you would have witnessed one of his many homemade inventions. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, gun collecting, auction sales, reading, cooking and tinkering with just about anything.
Larry was a fixer at heart. He was kind and soft spoken and always had time to answer a question or help a neighbor, no matter how big or small. Larry's homes were adorned with artwork and pictures of his grandchildren. He was a gift giver and never came for a visit empty handed. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
Larry was blessed with a large and loving family.
He is survived by his children, Wendy (Philip) Warmbier, Brian (Alexandra) Massey, Carrie (Matthew) Motsinger, Brent (Lisa) Bell and April Bell; his sister Marilyn (Jan) Griffith; Larry is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his late wife Bonnie Bell and his parents.
The family will plan a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's name can be sent to A&D Hospice for their amazing end of life care.
