Larry Bryan

A Bardstown resident, Mr. Larry Bryan, age 75, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at his home. He was born April 6, 1950 in New Haven to the late Bernard Leslie Bryan and Della Mae Hagan Bryan. Larry retired as a Water Treatment Plant Supervisor for the City of Bardstown. He was a fanatic about keeping his vehicles clean. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and his greatest joy in life was his grandkids. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Bryan. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Sue Shaw Bryan, 2 sons, Scott (Lea) Bryan of Jacksonville, NC., Jason (Leeann) Bryan of Bardstown, 1 granddaughter, Sarah Bryan of Jacksonville, NC, 2 grandsons, Carter Bryan and Sawyer Bryan at home. Survivors also include his sisters, Sandy Sallee of Elizabethtown and Barbara (Doug) Miles of New Haven, and his brothers, Harold (Debbie) Bryan of Bloomfield, Bernard Bryan Jr., Ricky Bryan (Stephanie Fenwick), David (Marsha) Bryan, Bobby Bryan, Ronnie (Celie) Bryan and Donnie Bryan. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Larry Bryan will be 11:30 am Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown. Fr. J. Randall Hubbard will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of the funeral service. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Bread For Life Community Food Pantry. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
