Larry Buchheim Jr., 65, of Greeley, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2025, from Fort Collins, Colorado. He was born on March 21, 1960, in Long Beach, California, to Larry Sr. & Sylvia (Detweiler) Buchheim.
Larry loved dirt bike riding, drag racing, fishing, baseball, and the Kansas City Chiefs. Larry's most proud accomplishment was being a father, and later a grandfather. His favorite pastime was attending any one of his three sons' sporting events, whether it be watching them play baseball, soccer, or whatever sports they happened to be involved in at any given time. He never missed a game.
Larry graduated from Millikan High School in 1978. From there, he briefly pursued fire science classes but ultimately became a commercial truck driver. He drove a truck for 35 years as a Teamster in Southern California before his retirement. Larry lived in Long Beach, California, for 60 years before moving to Colorado and enjoying his last years as a devoted Grandfather. He was an amazing father, friend, and grandfather. His presence would light up a room, and he always knew how to have a good time. His laugh was contagious and would rarely be seen without a smile.
Larry is survived by his sons, Robert (Lydia), Cory, and Tyler Buchheim; granddaughter, Aurora Buchheim; brothers, Steven (Lori), and Kenny Buchheim; and a large, loving extended family.
He is preceded in death by his life partner, Marcy Miller, and parents, Larry Sr. & Sylvia Buchheim.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Community Church, 1301 15th Street, Greeley, CO 80631, on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
