Larry Kent Cavender, 86, of Sabetha, Kansas, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Larry was born on September 19, 1939, in Sabetha, Kansas, to John Henry. Cavender and Cora Lee (Brammer) Cavender. He married Virginia Ann (Mishler) Cavender on September 20, 1959.
Larry worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation’s Geology Department in Manhattan, Kansas, for 44 years before retiring in March 2003.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents and his two sons, Jeffery Kent Cavender and Robert Lee Cavender.
Larry is survived by his wife, Virginia Cavender; his two sons, John Cavender and Joe Cavender; his four grandchildren; and his ten great-grandchildren.
A private family funeral service was held. Interment was made in the Sabetha Cemetery. Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha assisted the family with arrangements.
