Larry Gene Cellers, 74 of Wellington passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026.

Larry was born to W.G. Cellers and Betty (Paris) Cellers on April 20, 1951 in Wellington. In his senior year of high school he moved to Arkansas City and graduated from the high school. It was his senior year of high school he met his wife, Darla Jean Bierig and they married August 29, 1969. Due to his love of chiropractic, he attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City. He graduated in 1972 and moved back to Arkansas City to practice with his father and mother. On July 27, 1973 Larry and Darla welcomed a baby girl into their family and they named her Valery Rachelle. He will always be remembered for trying to help anyone in any way he could. Larry enjoyed golf, hunting and for 40 plus years playing in a band. Over the years Larry never met a stranger and will forever be remembered as "Doc Cellers".

Larry is survived by his wife, Darla J. Cellers; daughter, Valery Rachelle and Justin Boothe of Wichita, Amy Cox Whitford, who held a special place in his heart as his second daughter; grandchildren, Cody and Tiarrah Shire of Honululu, HI, Caleb Bourquin of Ypsilanti, MI, Landon Boothe of Wichita; great grandchildren, Liam and Loralei Shire.

He had so many friends, who held a special place in his heart and had stories he could talk about for days about each one.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in 2026.

A memorial has been established with Calvary Chapel, 1001 S. 3rd St., Arkansas City, KS 67005.
