Larry Wayne Coe, 80, of Gas City, Indiana, died at 8:30 pm, Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his daughter's home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 14, 1945, in Wabash, Indiana, to George Coe and Lois Ruth (Kendall) Miller.
Larry was a US Army veteran, serving from 1965-1967. He married Donna (Sluss) Brown in Wabash on April 2, 2011. Larry worked for B. Walter Company in Wabash, and also did lawn care for many area homes and businesses. He attended the Freedom Life Church of God in Wabash and the Church of God of Prophecy in Gas City. Larry enjoyed oil painting, fishing, lawn care, watching the birds and squirrels, and musical instruments. He loved his pets, Marley and Miss Kitty, and especially loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Coe of Huntington; daughter, Cheryl (Greg) Alexander of Gas City, Indiana, son, Gary (Catherine) Brown of Huntington; and an estranged son and daughter-in-law; 10 grandchildren; Matthew (Johanna) Brown, Tristin (Jessica) Brown, Hayleigh Brown, Logan Brown, Victoria Brown, Nathan Brown, Andrew Alexander, Nakota Alexander and two estranged grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and several extended family including, uncle, Early (Mary) Coe and cousin, Barry (Paulette) Conrad, both of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents, his half-brother, Cletis Huff, and granddaughter Joslyn Brown.
Memorial services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Church of God of Prophecy, 906 N. 10th Street, Gas City, with Bishop David Morris officiating. Inurnment will be in National Cemetery Marion. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
Preferred memorials are the Veterans Administration or Elara Caring Hospice.
