Barbara L. Garner, 94, of Marion, Indiana, formerly of Wabash, Indiana died Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her home in Marion. She was born on November 29, 1931, in Ferndale, Michigan, to George "Dean" and Mildred (Wicks) Leach.

Barbara was a 1949 graduate of Fairmount High School. She married Richard M. "Jerry" Garner at the Fairmount Friends Church on January 21, 1951; he died July 14, 2024. She worked in the office at Whites Residential and Family Service, for Rich Davis and Dee Gibson until the age of 85. Barbara was a member of the Wabash Friends Church and the Welsch Pony and Cob Society of America. She was an avid reader, and also enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching birds and animals.

She is survived by three children, Claudia Givens of Wabash, Timothy (Susan) Garner of Cicero, Indiana, and Christopher (Kelly) Garner of Kokomo, Indiana; son-in-law, Don Wolfe of Zepherhills, Florida; 11 grandchildren, Alicia (Steve) Johnson, Aaron (Kerri) Garner, Autum (Dave) Overstreet, Megan (Chris) Lenhart, Gabriel Garner, Chloe Garner, Daphne Garner, David (Mariah) Conner, Jordan (Lucie) Garner, Drew (Cassy) Conner, and Lindsey (Mike) Carnicella; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Laurel Wolfe, and her brother, James Leach.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Wabash Friends Church, 3563 S. State Road 13, Wabash, with David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12-2 pm Wednesday, at the church. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.

Preferred memorials are Wabash Friends Church or Josiah White's, c/o Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service.
