Larry Jennings Conley, 73, of Louisville, KY, passed away on February 14, 2024. He was born on April 13, 1950. Larry, never knew a stranger, was jovial, and loved to sing and entertain. Larry is survived by his sons, Kidd Conley (Lisa), Shawn Conley (Carrie), Jonathan Conley; daughter, Jennifer Porter (Ian); sister, Jeannie Hart-Clark (Mark); brother, Phillip Conley (Janet). 10 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Dawn Conley; mother, Flora Bell Conley; father, Garland Conley; brother, Danny Conley; and sister, Patsy Conley. Larry served in the Army for 4 years and was a proud veteran. He attended Logan High School in Logan, WV. After his service, he travelled to Nashville to pursue his dream of becoming a country music singer. Later in life, he felt called to ministry and served as a pastor for many years. He also was the owner of a construction company where he extended his ministry to give second chances to those working through addiction and recovery. Services for Larry will be held at Poole Funeral Home and Cremation in Cleveland, TN. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 9:30 am, followed by internment at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 12:30. Larry Jennings Conley will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
