Lawrence "Larry" Asbury Davies, born on March 12, 1954, in Montgomery, Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, at the age of 70. Larry was a devoted husband to his wife of 48 years, Donna, and a loving father to his daughter, Cassie, and son-in-law, Matthew Morren. He was a proud grandfather to his two grandsons, Hale and Hayes, who brought him immense joy. Larry worked as a superintendent for 30 years with Brasfield and Gorrie, a career he cherished deeply. He found purpose and fulfillment in his work and looked forward to each day with enthusiasm. Outside of work, Larry loved watching his grandsons play sports, taking his beloved dog Riley on walks, going for runs, and unwinding in the evenings by the pool with a margarita or a glass of whiskey. Larry often dreamed of winning the Powerball so he could make a substantial donation to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital—a cause close to his heart. In honor of this wish, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s's in lieu of flowers. Larry’s inviting smile and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and inspiration to those he leaves behind.
