Larry Wayne Davis

Larry Wayne Davis "Pap, The Child Whisperer" – age 77, born on February 18, 1948 in Knoxville, TN, passed away on January 30, 2026. Larry worked at Moore's Building Supplies for 40 years. Larry was known as "Pap" by his children, and every child he ever met. He never found a child he couldn't make laugh or smile. To his grandchildren, he was always the number one fan, the one to play hide-and-seek with, and the one to introduce them to rock and roll. Pap was full of laughter and joy, and was always the first to make a joke or play a prank. Pap, we love you.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Davis and Bobbie Davis Emory; sister, Gail (Jon) Roberts.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ellen Davis; sons, Brian (Minny) Hall and Steven (Jennifer) Hall; grandchildren, Jake, Hadassah, Connor, Taylor and Tiana; sister, Jackie Emory; brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Tracy Sharp; niece, Melissa (Deke) Waggoner; nephew, Jon Paul (Trisha) Roberts; and all of his special hunting buddies.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Bridges Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 5:00 PM.
